Carroll Hospital, a LifeBridge Health Center, is the heart of its tight-knit community, proudly serving the region for nearly six decades. It has grown from a one-building hospital to a comprehensive patient-centered medical campus. The hospital offers nationally ranked care, the latest in medical technology and skilled clinicians in a variety of specialties. A skilled nursing and rehabilitation center is currently under construction on campus.

More than 400 physicians in 38 medical specialties are members of the hospital’s medical staff. The hospital also employs nearly 2,000 individuals, making Carroll Hospital one of the largest employers in the county.

Frederick Health Hospital is a private, nonprofit, 264-bed facility, offering the latest advances in diagnostic capabilities and state-of-the-art treatment protocols, including: 
  • Emergency angioplasty in the hospital’s new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Now, citizens of our region no longer have to travel to tertiary facilities over an hour away to receive advanced emergency interventional cardiac care.
  • The FMH CyberKnife Center offers advanced radiosurgical capabilities to treat tumors located anywhere in the body with no anesthesia, no pain and no recovery time.
  • The Billy Miller Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides specialized care to newborns as early as 28 weeks gestational age. Johns Hopkins neonatologists are in house 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

As the Frederick Health System grows along with the communities it serves, a number of new and exciting programs and services are in development, or ready for implementation. New satellite facilities in Urbana and Crestwood, changes in the provision of Immediate and Urgent care services, expansion of Pediatric services and Emergency Pediatric Care, and the establishment of a Stroke Center of Excellence are just a few of the initiatives underway at FMH.
